Finding Calm

Finding Calm
What it is

Quiet, practical horsemanship for people rebuilding confidence — after a difficult experience, a season of change or time away from themselves.

Who it's for

Anyone wanting to find their feet again. You don't need to be a rider, and getting in the saddle isn't the goal.

What we cover
  • Groundwork and quiet horse handling
  • Reading the horse's body language and boundaries
  • Noticing your own breathing, tension and pace
  • Slowing down and tolerating uncertainty
  • Building trust in your own judgement
  • Moving into the saddle only when you're ready

Sometimes finding your way back to calm starts by standing still beside a horse.

Wild Country acknowledges the Palawa people as the Traditional Custodians of Lutruwita (Tasmania), and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge that this Country, its waters and its skies were never ceded, and we are grateful to live, work and ride here.
