Wild Country Expeditions is what we're building toward — small-group, multi-day journeys on horseback through some of Tasmania's wild country, where the experience is as much about the horses as the country we travel through.

These won't be conventional trail rides stretched over several days. Guests will be part of the whole experience: preparing their horse, saddling up, travelling through varied country, caring for horses at the end of the day and settling into camp before doing it all again the next morning.

But genuine expeditions require preparation.

Before we offer them, our horses need time to develop the fitness, confidence and experience required for consecutive days in varied terrain. Routes need to be ridden and tested, equipment and camp systems refined, and every part of the journey — from horse welfare and emergency planning to logistics and guest experience — needs to meet the standard we expect of Wild Country.

So we're taking the time to build it properly.
